To the Esteemed Elenwen, First Emissary of the Thalmor:
As Kethrina’s journal entry illustrates, the Dark Brotherhood took an interest in the traitor. I suppose we should not be surprised. Even if she had not killed Grelod, she is an assassin, as she herself admitted. Also, Loki Black-Scar might have taken an interest in recruiting her for his organization.
Unfortunately, Kethrina’s violent response has nixed any chance we had of infiltrating the organization. However, once she does report her actions to Commander Maro in Dragon Bridge, the Legion will not only destroy the remnants of the Dark Brotherhood, but we will also be able to find and capture Loki. That one traitor and war criminal will help us capture another is ironic indeed.
Kethrina is a procrastinator and is reluctant to confront Loki, so it will be several days before she reports to Maro. This should give us sufficient time to prepare.
I thank you for the updates regarding the school of witchcraft. It is frustrating that we can not implant an advisor agent like Ancano in the College of Winterhold. However, I’ve learned the school is not particularly choosy regarding its students so long as they have sufficient talent. Therefore, implanting student agents may be the solution. One of the agents beneath me is already there and should be able to assist you.
Kethrina’s house is Honeyside, a two-story house on the edge of Riften. It will allow us to assign one of our undercover agents there to monitor any activity within.
Kethrina’s current location is Folgunthur, investigating Archmage Gauldur. I believe she is seeking the amulet bearing his name, in which case she will travel next to Gerimund’s Hall. The last ruin, Saarthal, will require access to the College of Winterhold. I have already sent a message to Ancano notifying him of her coming.
As always, I will continue to update you regarding Kethrina’s movements.
