To the Esteemed Elenwen, First Emissary of the Thalmor:
The object Kethrina found in Saarthal is extremely interesting. Unfortunately the mage Tolfdir is guarding it, so none of my agents can approach it to study it. However, Kethrina was able to capture numerous images of it and noted a number of observations. I have already made copies of these and sent them to Ancano, since there is little doubt he will be denied access to this artifact.
As I write this to you, the traitor is now in Silverdrift Lair, retrieving a rare book for Urag gro-Shub, the librarian at the College. Before then, she reforged Gauldur’s Amulet. She does not appear to be stronger with it equipped. Perhaps it has lost power over the centuries.
We could benefit from Serine’s research into these crossbows. Watching the traitor’s use of them has shown me that they can be absolutely deadly in a fight, especially at long range. One of my agents has already joined the Dawnguard to watch Kethrina when she is at the fort, and he is learning how they’re being made.
As always, I will continue to update you regarding Kethrina’s movements.
